Podgorica, 13 March 2026 – Representatives of the Sovereign Order of Malta Embassy in Montenegro, including H.E.Amb. Narciso Salvo di Pietraganzili, First Secretary Mr. Valerio Carafa, and Communications Officer Mrs. Jovana Đukanović, met with the Director of the Clinical Center of Montenegro Aleksandar Radović, representatives of the Ministry of Health, and other key stakeholders at the Clinical Center to discuss concrete initiatives for advancing healthcare in Montenegro.
Discussions focused on enhancing the quality of healthcare services and fostering professional exchange between Montenegrin institutions and the Sovereign Order of Malta. The Order’s commitment to supporting Montenegro’s healthcare system through First aid trainings, Light Search and Rescue trainings, and in a broader sense strengthening the humanitarian, medical, and civil protection programs.
Key areas of cooperation include the provision of specialized medical equipment, including neonatal dialysis units, as well as professional training for Montenegrin doctors through exchange programs with Bambino Gesù hospital in Rome.
The meeting also addressed the establishment of a mobile healthcare service to deliver essential medical examinations to residents in remote and underserved areas, supported by trained medical professionals and volunteers.
Participants emphasized the significant potential for long-term collaboration in medical education, humanitarian assistance, and capacity building, and expressed their readiness to move forward with concrete joint projects in the near future.
