The Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Montenegro, Narciso Salvo di Pietraganzili, met with the newly appointed Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Montenegro to the Holy See and the Sovereign Order of Malta, Majda Gluščević, yesterday in Rome.

Having extended his congratulations to Chargé d’affaires Gluščević on her appointment, the Ambassador and the Chargé d’affaires discussed the donation of a CARPE DIEM haemodialysis machine, together with future project initiatives in civil protection and disaster risk reduction training.

Diplomatic relations between the Sovereign Order of Malta and Montenegro were established in 2006, and recent meetings reaffirm the shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation in the areas of healthcare, humanitarian assistance and emergency response. In March of this year, the Grand Hospitaller of the Order, Josef D. Blotz, and the Minister of Health of Montenegro, Vojislav Šimun, signed the Cooperation Agreement between Montenegro and the Sovereign Order of Malta in the presence of President Jakov Milatović and the Grand Master of the Order, Fra’ John T. Dunlap, emphasizing the significance of this partnership.
